OUR VALUES

Islamic traits and principles are at the core of our organization. We are guided by the following values and teachings from the Holy Quran and the prophetic examples (Sunnat).

Social justice: Social justice and development go hand in hand, working together to build a fair and balanced society. Our efforts are based on the idea of social justice, ensuring that even the most impoverished and the most marginalized individuals receive assistance, have their basic needs fulfilled, and are empowered with resources to thrive, just like any independent and valued member of a free society.

Oneness: At the heart of Islam lies Tawhid, a fundamental belief in the oneness of God. This core principle guides followers to recognize that since God is singular, He created all individuals as equals within his universe. This understanding of universal equality in the eyes of God underscores the unity of humanity. Notably, Islam upholds basic needs and human rights as granted by God, compelling Muslims to aid those who lack them.

Compassion: Compassion embodies the essence of Islam and is a fundamental cornerstone of our organization. The Prophet highlighted its importance, stating that if even one person is hungry in a community, no angel would come to that place until that person is fed. Additionally, the Prophet emphasized that feeding a hungry widow holds greater virtue than praying all night. This showcases the deep empathy the Prophet showed towards those enduring hardships, particularly the most vulnerable members of society.

Transparency: Muslims are encouraged to be well-informed and exercise caution in their actions. The wisdom of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) echoes, “First tether your camel, then put your trust in God.” Similarly, when contributing to charitable causes, it’s essential to go beyond trust and diligently research organizations. At our core, we are committed to ensuring accountability not only to ourselves but also to our generous donors. Our endeavors are driven by a profound sense of sincerity, compassion, and a genuine dedication to the betterment of humanity.
